Anti-Wrinkle Injections
Anti-ageing injectables, such as anti-wrinkle injections, can be used for cosmetic purposes to relax facial muscles, resulting in a smoother and more youthful appearance. This treatment involves injecting small amounts of a substance that temporarily blocks signals between nerves and muscles. By doing so, it helps smooth out existing wrinkles, firm the skin, and delay the formation of further fine lines.
Here are some common areas that can be addressed with anti-wrinkle injections:
1. Frown line reduction: Frown lines, also known as glabella lines, are formed by the repetitive use of certain facial muscles. By relaxing these muscles, the lines can be reduced or eliminated, resulting in a less angry and more refreshed appearance.
2. Forehead line smoothing: The muscles in the forehead are responsible for our expressions, and excessive use of these muscles can lead to furrows across the forehead.
3. Eye line de-creasing: Eye lines, commonly referred to as crow's feet, are caused by smiling and laughing, and they tend to deepen with age, contributing to sagging skin later in life. By reducing excessive creasing, these lines can be softened, and the skin can maintain its strength for a longer period.
4. Bunny lines: Bunny lines refer to the wrinkles that appear on both sides of the nose when you scrunch your nose or make exaggerated facial expressions. The use of anti-wrinkle injections aims to minimize the appearance of these diagonal lines and fine wrinkles.
5. Masseter Botox: The masseter is a muscle responsible for chewing, located on the side of the face, connecting the cheekbone to the lower jawbone. Injecting Botox into the masseter muscle can serve several purposes, including managing teeth grinding, reducing jaw tension, alleviating pain and clenching, contouring a square jaw, and creating a balanced face shape.
